Dr. Damaj brings a rare combination of deep scientific expertise and real-world commercial success. He holds a Ph.D. in Immunology/Microbiology from Laval University, completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular oncology at McGill University School of Medicine, and earned an Executive Certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management (with an emphasis in Healthcare) from Stanford University.
His career features foundational research in immunology, chemokine receptors, and natural killer cells, alongside extensive work in drug development, regulatory strategy, and intellectual property. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is an inventor on numerous patents in areas including sexual health, prostate support, and natural product formulations.
As a serial biotech entrepreneur, Dr. Damaj has founded or led more than 12 companies, raised over $500 million, and executed multiple NASDAQ listings and major partnerships and M&A transactions. Today, this extensive experience guides every product at R&D Healthcare Canada.
